Rowan has always had a passion for animals both domestic and wild. Since graduating in environmental and wildlife management, he's remained ever eager to understand every facet of the natural world, from the bare bones of skull identification to reading animal tracks in local forests. This keen interest has only sharpened over time, leading Rowan to pour his passion into various pursuits, such as wildlife rehabilitation, environmental education, dog training, and animal adoption efforts.

With a relentless drive to learn and share the stories of the natural world around us, it was only a matter of time before Rowan wandered his way into the medical side of nature, too. Now working full-time as part of a veterinary reception team, Rowan returns home each night to his two-cat welcome committee: a brown tabby named Fern, who thinks he's a show dog; and Ivy, a white shorthair whose delicate constitution rivals that of a young Victorian child.
